About Me
I have been working with people experiencing a stressful transition or crisis in their lives for over fifteen years, first as a Unitarian Universalist Minister, and then as a psychotherapist. I am grounded in spiritual resourcing, especially Buddhism, with an emphasis on mindfulness and acceptance. I am a somatic-based therapist, which means I integrate with other evidence based methodologies—including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Integrated Family Symptoms Therapy.
I have a Master of Social Work from Boston University and a Master of Divinity from Andover Newton Seminary at Yale Divinity School. I am currently an advanced level practitioner of Somatic Experiencing®, and as of May 2026, I will have completed the three-year certification.
